Seaside tennis weekend attracts big names

THE 41st Sawtell RSL Seaside Open Tennis Championships starts today at Sawtell Tennis Club.

The platinum tournament is one of the highest ranked on the North Coast with over 140 players competing including 80 in open men's singles.

High profile player Brydan Klein has entered to get in some match play after injury before heading back to the Challenger tour in America.

Currently ranked 499 (highest AMT ranking of 169), Brydan won his first futures event in Sawtell in 2007.

Sawtell player Luke Field is playing amazing tennis and is seeded number 4 in 18-boy's singles.
