Emergency beacon signal found but mystery remains
12.45PM: INFORMATION provided by the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service reveals the beacon was found in the back of a utility parked in an Ulmarra street.
NOON: GRAFTON Police have found an SOS signal box from a yacht, or a boat sitting on the banks of Clarence River near Ulmarra.
The beacon had triggered and called the Westpac Rescue Chopper to the scene.
After landing at the Ulmarra Showground the chopper crew found the box, but no boat to go with it.

11.00AM: A SEARCH has begun for the source of an emergency beacon signal.
The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter has been tasked to the Ulmarra area where the signal has been detected.
