Sculpture unveiling an eventful creative day
WHEN will they invent teleporting?
In this job being in two places within minutes of each other would be very handy.
The most recent example was Thursday's grand sculpture unveiling.
Duties in Macksville prevented me from being there, but judging from all the comments it was a funny, moving moment surrounded by a colourful, happy event.
Camp Creative certainly works hard to be as inclusive as possible . . . and also to show its appreciation to those who support it.
Now we have a world-class sculpture (in my opinion) in the Council Park in our small town of 3000 - impressive! But mischief still lurks - one wag commented it gave a purpose to visiting the new Visitor Information Centre and what about the suggestion that council staff park at the showground and open their car park up to the tourists - very lateral.
Now to the future, as the holidays wind down and the new year winds up...
There are still some places for the Transitions to Sustainability workshop being held on Tuesday, February 3 (evening), and Wednesday, February 4 (day). Two founders of the Transition Towns idea are coming to town to share knowledge about the fast-growing global network. For registration forms phone 6655 9992.
