SCU has red dinner for Red Cross

RED will be the dominant colour at an upcoming fundraiser at SCU’s Osprey Restaurant.

Second year hospitality student Martyn Lillford is producing a charity auction and dinner to raise money for Red Cross.

To be held on Thursday, April 29, it will also feature the services of eight of his fellow second year Hotel and Resort Management students who hail from China.

Martyn said the Chinese students had done one year of study at various universities across China before starting at SCU’s Coffs Harbour Campus at the beginning of the year.

“I only know two words of Chinese but they are very keen to learn and their language skills are certainly improving,” Martyn said.

“Because the fundraiser is for the Red Cross, and because of the involvement of the Chinese students, we’ve calling the night, A Touch of Red,” he said.

Tickets at $50. Inquiries to Martyn on 0421851655 or email martyn.lillford@gmail.com
