Schoolies weekend wrap: another two arrests

AS MOST schoolies no doubt sleep-in after a weekend of celebrating, police say they are pleased so far with the behaviour of the teens.

On Sunday night, another two schoolies - a male and a female - were arrested on four offences, including public nuisance and an assault offence.

The assault relates to a disturbance between three males that happened near View Street at Surfers Paradise around 12.35am. There were only minor injuries sustained in the incident.

Liquor infringements notices were issued overnight to 42 schoolies.

Overnight there were 11 people arrested on 13 charges which were not schoolies related and were mainly for drug, public nuisance and good order offences along with 9 non-schoolies receiving liquor infringement notices.

Since schoolies began on Saturday, there have been a total of 12 schoolies arrested with non-schoolies causing the majority of problems with 33 arrests since Friday night.
