School goes mad hatter
DO you have a purple beret with orange butterflies in your wardrobe?
Would you wear a banana and pink feathers as a fascinator?
Bangalow locals are preparing their mad outfits for the third Mad Hatters Tea Party on May 20 between 9am and 3pm.
The activity is a fundraiser for the Bangalow Public School, organised in conjunction with the Bangalow Billy Cart Derby.
Bangalow Public School principal Susie Boyle said the idea was for the whole family to "come to the school and enjoy some fun activities in between the races".
There will be a jumping castle, a secondhand book stall, food, a photo booth, face painting and a hat making stall.
The school's choir and the band will also be performing.
Established in 1881, Bangalow Public School has 215 students between kinder and Year 6.
