Polliefillers toon goes national

SAWTELL’S David Knight has been working with animation for 15 years but his new political animation cartoon, Polliefillers, has become a national TV and online hit overnight.

The artist, musician and cartoonist sent one of his animations to the ABC public discussion program Q&A one month ago and since then the program has been sending him scripts and politicians have been lining up to ask for their own strip.

He launched his website polliefillers.com.au just two weeks ago and it’s already had around 2000 visitors.

“As soon as I started doing the political, stuff, it went crazy,” he said yesterday.

“Now media companies are talking to me about distribution.”

David is a one-man band, creating the cartoons, doing the animations, the voices and the music all himself and creating the strips within days.
