HOOPS for MS, this weekend’s two-on-two charity basketball event at Sawtell is shaping up to be a slam dunk success.

The inaugural event has to date attracted a draw of 20 teams, some of which will travel from as far a field as Queensland and Newcastle. Organisers Jason Worldon and Joel Bath are calling for spectators to turn out at the Sawtell Primary School tomorrow and make the event a success.

“MS Australia is a really worthy cause and one that quite often is overlooked when it comes to fundraising, so we want to make as much money for them as we can and have some fun in the meantime,” Jason said.

The courtside action gets under way from 9.30am.

A presentation will then be held at Sawtell Hotel from 7pm.
