Sawtell man linked to drug raids

POLICE have swooped on a home at Sawtell, as part of a major drug operation across the state that has seen raids on 37 premises.

The owner of the Heron Place home is said to have been one of 29 people arrested as part of a strike force against the manufacture and supply of illegal drugs.

The crackdown has involved 500 people officers and seen early morning raids across Sydney and the Mid North Coast.  

The Police Organised Crime Squad claim to have busted a sophisticated drug supply network.

Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione and State Crime Command Assistant Commissioner Dave Hudson are set to reveal the amount of drugs and property seized during the raids later today.
