Sawtell Deep Sea and Beach Rock and Estuary fishing news

THERE has been a bit of water under the bridge since the last time in print.

We have held two very successful outings since then.

The previous outing, which was held on October 13 and 14, featured a total of 18 anglers.

Winners of the deep sea section were Barney with a snapper, Barney with a flathead and Eric with a morwong.

Eric also took out best fish other than mentioned with a ribbon fish.

Beach rock and estuary winners were Nev with a bream, Buck with a flathead, Barney with a jewfish and Gaz with a mullet.

Buck also took out best fish other than mentioned with a salmon.

A big congrats to all those anglers who braved the harsh elements in our last outing as the heavens opened and so did the wind and white caps, shelter was hard to find making it challenging for all.

The outing held on November 17 and 18 had a total of 29 anglers and eight boats. T

he weigh-in was held at the Toormina Hotel Beer Garden and a barbecue followed.

The winners for deep sea were Wade with a snapper and a parrot fish, Ryan with a perch, Jarrod with a trag and best fish other than mentioned went to Sam with a nice bream.

Beach rock and estuary winners Natahn with a bream, Gaz with a flathead, Smithy with a luderick and Pete with a jewfish.

Best fish other than mentioned went to Nathan for a trumpeter.

Just a reminder to all members that our Christmas Party is on this Sunday at Boambee Bay Reserve, food and beverages supplied.

Hope to see you there.

Our next outing is on December 14 and 15.

So until next time, tight lines and get hooked.
