DPI orders Sapphire Beach evacuation

SAPPHIRE Beach has been evacuated afer the NSW Department of Primary Industries' aerial team spotted a three metre whaler shark.

The alert was issued to surfers and swimmers at 11am this morning.

It followed a warning issued by the NSW DPI aerial team of a 1.8 metre great white shark spotted at the same beach on July 2.
