Santa set to roar into town

SANTA will be adopting a novel mode of transport today when he leads the 21st annual Motorcycle Christmas Charity Toy Run to aid the Salvation Army.

Motorcyclists from near and far are expected join together for the run, which departs the North Beach Bowling and Recreation Club at noon and then weaves its way along Pine Creek Way to Lyons Rd and then through Sawtell before hitting Hogbin Dr and ending at the Jetty Foreshores.

All donations carried by the riders and received from the public will be handed over to Major Steve Metcher to go directly to local families and those in need this Christmas.

Donations of non-perishable food, gift vouchers, toys and cash will all be gratefully received by the Salvos on the day.
