Santa's early stop at Dorrigo

CHRISTMAS Day is coming early in Dorrigo.

The Dorrigo Chamber of Commerce is gearing to host a special shopping day on December 12 with all the trimmings.

From hampers and special gifts to Christmas lollies and entertainment for the kids, the day focuses on ‘Merry Christmas’.

All shops will be open from 9am to late in the afternoon and entertainment is happening in the park around the ‘Big Log’.

“The inaugural ‘Dorrigo Christmas Day’ offers something for old and young, there’s a jumping castle, face painting, Santa is offering lollies to kids big and small and the shops will be bursting with Christmas gifts,” chamber president David Hitchcock said.

There will be a jumping castle for the kids; and parents can even take a photo of the youngsters with Santa.

The day was initiated by chamber members and is just one of many activities to come over the next twelve months.

Customers can get involved on December 12 by voting for the best Christmas window display and one lucky customer can win a Christmas hamper.

Shopkeepers and staff will be on standby to assist visitors with all their shopping needs and to gift-wrap the purchased items.
