DETERMINED not to fall to second consecutive shock loss, Sawtell/Toormina has easily accounted for North Coffs 124-40 in the AFL North Coast first semi final at BCU International Stadium.
It was a different Saints side to the one who went down to the Roos only seven days earlier showing a much improved performance in the win.
The Roo's were kept to only seven points in the first quarter as a fired up sawtell side booted 5 goals.
The Sawtell domination continued in the second with north coffs unable to buy a goal as the sides went into the half with the scores at 75-10
Easing off a little in the third stanza the saints still did enough to keep north coffs well and truly under control while a late flurry in the fourth wrapped up a flawless victory.
It wasn't the send off North Coffs Coach Russ Matthews would've wanted after he announced the match would be his last.
"Sawtell came out to play and had our measure from the start," Matthews said.
"It was a poor performance from the boys especially after how well we played only last week.
"We had a few key players out but in the end we just didn't get the job done.
"All in all I think as a team we should be happy we made the finals but had there been a bigger commitment to training I think we would've gone further."
Sawtell/Toormina captain coach Ben Hooke led the scoring for his side booting five majors while Lee Cohen and Craig Parsons Both Contributed four.
The Saints get a week off and will play the loser of next week's game between Grafton and port Macquarie for a ticket to the AFL North Coast grand final.
