Saints ready for Grafton challenge

SAWTELL/TOORMINA will have its hands full when it hosts premiership favourites Grafton at Richardson Oval this afternoon.

Saints coach Ben Hooke is looking forward to the challenge and being able to assess his Saints against the competition yardstick.

Hooke was surprisingly upbeat when contacted and expects his charges to do well on the larger Richardson Park.

Despite lamenting the loss of Craig parsons and Ray McGrath he was very impressed with new WA recruit Trent Mitchell and has ruckman Courtney Tune in career-best form.

In other good news for the Saints former champion Mark Couzens makes his long-awaited debut.

The Tigers are cruising at the moment sitting undefeated alone on top of the ladder. Graeme Connelly is rucking beautifully and Ryan Sheather is impassable across half back.
