Saints on march to another title after big win over Breakers

ANOTHER week and another huge win by Sawtell-Toormina.

Saints continued an extraordinary winning streak by downing Coffs Harbour Breakers by more than a century of points in the local derby at Richardson Park.

Most satisfying for the club was having the fifth straight win of the season played out in front of the veterans from the 2005 premiership victory who were celebrating a 10 year reunion on the sideline.

Each and every one of those diehards believe there's another senior title in the making.

Saints coach Jim Angel said he was pleased with the result of the 2014 grand final replay.

"We came with a plan in place and it took us a while to get going in the first quarter but after that we came good," he said.

Angel said the side is staying grounded while looking ahead to next week's game against Grafton.

"We're relatively confident, we're going to gather up the fitness and chalk up the skills and keep going week-by-week."

Breakers captain Matt Cannan conceded the Saints are still the team to beat in the North Coast competition.

"Obviously they're the favourites so they're the bench mark and we've just got to try and catch up to them," he said.

"We'll be working on sticking together more than anything and keep working on what we've been working on, and eventually we'll come to the front."

With a bye next week Coffs Harbour will regroup before taking on Port Macquarie in round 10.
