Pac Hwy safety improvements begin at Valla

LINE marking will be carried out on the Pacific Hwy at Valla today to improve road safety.

The road work will commence from 6am to 7pm until Monday December 14, weather permitting.

Roads and Maritime Services said the line marking will be refreshed along an eight kilometre section of the Pacific Hwy between Ballards and Link Rds to ensure lanes and changed traffic conditions are clearly marked.

Changed traffic conditions including reduced speed limits and lane closures will be in place during work for the safety of road users and workers.

The work is being carried out as part of a package of road safety improvements for the highway at Valla following a number of fatalities on the notorious stretch of road in recent months.
