Saba back in the frame as coach looks for goals

DESPITE speculation he is likely to be moved on in the January transfer window, Brazilian playmaker Vitor Saba has been recalled to the Western Sydney line-up for tonight's must-win A-League match against Melbourne Victory at Parramatta Stadium.

Saba (pictured) has been on the outer since the team's 0-0 draw against Al-Hilal in Riyadh on November 2, a result that secured the Asian Champions League trophy.

But with Wanderers having scored just two goals at home this season, and Brendon Santalab (shoulder) and Tomi Juric (Socceroos duty) missing, coach Tony Popovic has recalled the fan favourite to inject some goal scoring potential. Western Sydney is the only team yet to win this season, but three points against the spluttering Victory could ignite a finals charge.

Melbourne coach Kevin Muscat has recalled Fahid Ben Khalfallah but has lost experienced defender Adrian Leijer (suspended).
