Weighing more than 270 kg, the gingerbread house at Rydges South Bank in Brisbane is a sight set to satisfy just about any sweet tooth.
The Bacchus kitchen team, lead by pastry chef Tammy Cole and head chef Mark Penna, spent days baking the 170kg of bread and 100kg of icing before assembling it in the lobby.

The Gingerbread House initiative is in support of The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal, with people being asked to drop their present donations in the lobby.
The Gingerbread House will be up until Christmas... until Santa stops buy to snack on it!
