ORGANISERS of the Coffs Coast Running festival have wrapped up the events successful sophomore effort with the release of the official highlight video

Over 1300 competitors lined up across four events early Sunday morning as part of the Coffs Harbour Running Festival.

The day's blue riband event, the Coffs Half Marathon, was won by long distance legend Steve Moneghetti in just over 75 minutes.

Starting and finishing at the show grounds, the running festival took in the leafy surrounds of the Coffs Creek Cycleway.

Event organiser Mick Maley was overjoyed with the success of the running festival in what is its second year.

"We have had a growth in numbers this year with over 1300 entries," he said.

"People have travelled from far and wide including New Zealand to compete.

"I suppose that makes the Running festival an International event.

"I am really happy with everything. The weather was great, plenty of great running and lots of smiles."
