Runner's trifecta in the Sawtell Fun Run

CORINDI Beach's Jordan Gusman defended his Sawtell fun run title beating home a big field of middle distance runners in the 5.25-kilometre race.  

 

Finishing in 17-minutes Gusman, won the fun run for a third straight year. 

 

In the women's event Tara Everson from Coramba edged out Jessica Deans from Emerald Beach and Savannah Sproule from Coffs Harbour in third.

 

Kieran Gorman, 11, from French Forest took out the juniors race ahead of Benjamin Burridge from Bonville and Tom Neal from Sawtell. 

 

On the track and Macksville sprinter Sam Kete, 17, emphatically won the Geoff King Sprint in 11.65 seconds ahead of Zarren Gogos, 17, and Toby McCann, 16.

In a close finish to the women's sprint Lillie Moye, 16, of Boambee won the Bargains on First ladies sprint in a time of 13.20 ahead of Savannah and Mercedes Peterkin.
