Rugger boys are finally back at SCU Marlins Park

RUGBY tragics starved for action in recent weeks will get their kicks today at University (Marlins) Park.

The match between Southern Cross University and Kempsey reverts to the venue due to the first round swap and is suddenly a blessing for the struggling Marlins who will relish a chance to shine on home turf.

The run of away games has given the playing surface ripped up so badly in the rainy period a chance to recover and despite recent results, Marlins are likely to start warm favourites after the Cannonballs crashed heavily last week to Port Pirates.

Coffs Snappers first grade has another weekend off but return to the field next week with a visit to Pirates at Stuart Park.

The southern game today is the local derby hosted by Hastings Valley at Oxley Oval.

In Presidents Cup action Woolgoolga Whitepointers head south to Bowraville with Coffs drawn to face Dorrigo.
