Rotary pitching in to help

THE Rotary clubs of District 9650, which includes 56 clubs from Woolgoolga to Forster and west to Lightning Ridge, are gearing up to assist the victims of the devastating floods in Queensland.

Special provisions have been made to collect money from Rotarians and members of the public, which will be distributed to people through the District Governors and clubs in the towns and areas affected.

People wanting to help can do so though Rotary, confident that their money will be well managed and fairly distributed.

Donations can be taken to any branch office of the Holiday Coast Credit Union, or deposited online to the following account:

RI D 9650, Zone 8, Disaster Relief Account. The account number is 100 131 356 for electronic deposits. The BSB is 802-214.

If depositing direct at any of the Holiday Coast Credit Union branches, the membership number is 80765 and the account classification is S14.2.

Please make sure that you provide a reference for the source of the money (eg ‘name’ if it’s an individual donation or ‘club name’ if the donation is from a club.)

Those preferring to give by cheque can do so by posting it to district treasurer Michael Carrigan, PO Box 141, Narrabri, NSW, 2390.
