NBN offers Coffs opportunities

NATIONAL Broadband Network construction opportunities are available on the Coffs Coast.

With the roll-out of the high speed internet network fast approaching, NBN Co. is calling for local companies to be aware of its tenders.

It is looking for competitive and capable suppliers or service providers who would like to identify opportunities to work with the primary contractors.

During construction of the NBN project, the Industry Capability Network (ICN) is seeking to maximise the participation of SMEs right across Australia.

This is being done by engaging with the NBN Co., to identify products and by working closely with the prime contractors appointed to construct the NBN to develop their supply chain.

As part of this National Response, ICN has appointed Dr David Anderson as the national sector manager of NBN.

Mr Anderson will be working with government, industry, and local suppliers to help maximise Australian and New Zealand content for the national rollout of the NBN.

If you are an SME with the qualifications, services or capacity to work on NBN, you are invited to attend a free information session with ICN to find out how to participate and learn what is expected to be required during construction of the NBN and how to get involved.

During these sessions, ICN will provide examples of how these activities are already benefiting industry.

The local seminar will be held at Friday, February 25 between 8am and 9am in ETC's Training Room 4.
