River carols set

WHAT better way to take a break from the busy pre-Christmas schedule than an evening of Christmas carols by the river at Urunga.

This year is the 16th for the annual Carols Urunga event and the line-up is stronger than ever.

Apart from Urunga's school students singing their hearts out, there will also be performers from the Jetty Theatre's recent production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

They will be joined by favourites such as Peter Cole, Tahlee Rose, the Goddard sisters, Nat's Fun Singing group and more.

Santa, of course, will be joining the fun with the grand finale fireworks from 9pm. Ian ‘Hendo' Henderson from 2CS FM will be doing the MC honours again this year.

So gather blankets, chairs, a picnic and the kids and be part of the fun on Saturday, December 18, from 5pm.
