Rising schoolboy talent in finals

A GROUP of the most accomplished and famous rugby league schools in NSW will play preliminary finals of the CRL Country Cup at C.ex Coffs International Stadium on Tuesday.

St John's College (Wood-lawn), Farrer Agricultural High, St Pius (Adamstown) and Melville High will take on local schools from Grafton, South Grafton and a regional North Coast team.

"The very best schoolboy talent will be on show at Coffs Harbour," NRL coaching and development manager Garry Stevenson said.

"The successful schools will progress to the NSW grand finals in Dubbo on Wednesday, August 6."

Players will perform in under-13s, under-15s and open divisions.

Matches start at 9am and will continue on two adjacent fields in front of a battalion of talent scouts and coaches representing all NRL clubs.

The public is welcome to attend.
