Rides-a-plenty in Coffs Harbour

SEGWAYS have arrived in Coffs Harbour and they are fun.

Time Out Xperiences business partners Ben Nyhuis and Jason Moran have brought the fat-tyred personal transporters to Novotel Pacific Bay Resort and are offering short fun rides and longer ‘beach to bush’ eco-tours.

Drop-dead simple to operate, the Segways have silent electric motors which will take you for 19km of travel before needing recharging and a speed-limited top speed of 12kmh.

You can use them to explore the resort, play games like Segway soccer or just go zooming up and down the hills and round the roads and tracks.

Mr Nyhuis and Mr Moran said the Segways were the first of a suite of activities new to Coffs Harbour including an inflatable obstacle course and inflatable climbing wall; a bungee challenge and laser clay shooting.

They hope to have the full suite of Xperiences up and running in time for the Easter holidays.

Time out Xperiences can be contacted on 1300 090767.
