Young rider killed near Macksville

POLICE are appealing for information after a young man lost his life near Macksville at the weekend.

The man, believed to be in his late teens or early 20s, was killed when the trail bike he was riding collided head-on with a 4WD station wagon on Brushbox Road, Eungai Rail, on Saturday afternoon.

The driver of the 4WD was uninjured and was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

Crash Investigation Unit officers from Port Macquarie and crime scene officers from Coffs Harbour are investigating the collision.
