RFS burn at Emerald Beach send smoke billowing across region

NSW Rural Fire Service has advised of a hazard reduction burn underway on Coffs Harbour's northern beaches.

The burn is being conducted by the Forestry Corporation of NSW at Smiths Road, 4km west of Emerald Beach.

The area of the burn is around 250 hectares and it is under control.

Further hazard reductions are being conducted today along the Armidale Road in the Clarence Valley.
