REVEALED: What to expect at the Plaza in the coming months
AS PART of the Sunshine Plaza's official opening of the first stage of its redevelopment, Myer will also unveil its fully refurbished store on November 15.
Refurbishment works at the store started in May, and it's almost ready to be shown to the public.
"We have two levels of retail opening down in the new mall to the fully-refurbished Myer, and new brands coming in with that," Plaza centre manager Michael Manwaring said.
The retailer's cosmetic section is already open to the public, revealing a brand new Aesop concession and a soon-to-open entrance to the new shopping mall.
Mr Manwaring revealed that Myer would introduce a number of new brands as part of its refurbishment.
"We've got Aesop, Nine West, which are two of the more popular brands," he said.
Ralph Lauren and David Lawrence concessions will also be included in the unveiling of the store.
A spokesperson from Myer said a sneak peak of the refurbished store would be made available the day before its opening on November 14.
About 70 stores will open in the second stage of the Plaza's redevelopment in early 2019, including the region's first David Jones, H&M, a new Big W and a Cornmeal Promenade dining precinct.
Mr Manwaring also revealed Kathmandu and JB Hi-Fi would open in the second stage.
The first stage of the redevelopment will bring the retail offering of Sunshine Plaza to about 250 stores.
By Easter next year the shopping centre will host 300 or more retailers, with a total of more than 100 new stores.
