There will be many efforts to explain the problems with Big W stores. The one that will hardly get a mention is "cost cutting." Big W (at the plaza) thought it would be a clever idea to close all the checkouts and rely on bots to replace them. That was the last major change that they made to the Big W store. That was also the last time to shop at that store for many of their customers.
The other retailers, like bunnings, coles, kMart and Woolies will go the same way. If you own a small or medium business in the area, just hang on a little longer and the customers will come in droves, as the bigger stores chase away the "old fashioned" shoppers like me.
