Resident loses all as fire consumes her Emerald Beach cabin

FIRE has consumed a cabin at an Emerald Beach caravan park after the owner left the premises for a short time.

Neighbours noticed smoke coming from the dwelling and after calling fire authorities, one resident tried to extinguish the blaze with a garden hose.

While the fire was quickly extinguished, the cabin and all possessions were totally destroyed.

The resident was treated for shock after returning home.

Investigations into the cause of the blaze are continuing but a naked flame is suspected as the ignition.
