Sympathetic ear given to challenges faced by egional business
SMALL businesses at the Coffs Harbour Innovation Centre recently welcomed the opportunity to speak with Member for Coffs Harbour Andrew Fraser about the challenges small businesses face operating in regional Australia.
Creator of saso.creative Nanette Backhouse said it was an incredible opportunity to speak directly with a local member who is passionate about growth and the economic development of the area.
"Mr Fraser was open to discuss our challenges and willing to listen to new ideas that can potentially grow the region," Nanette said.
"There are a lot of opportunities for businesses located in cities and to highlight the importance of increased assistance to businesses located in regional Australia was advantageous," she said.
Coffs Harbour Innovation Centre co-ordinator Julianne McKeon said the local member for Coffs Harbour was exposed to incubating businesses on the Coffs Coast.
"The Innovation Centre acts as a hub for new and innovative businesses which want to operate in a supportive office environment," Ms McKeon said.
"These diverse mixes of businesses provide employment opportunities and economic growth to the Coffs Coast and it was invaluable for them to hear the future developments planned for the region," she said.
