Record for race numbers at Allman Park

RACING: There will be nine races at Allman Park for the first time in 30 years.

With minimal rain at the track this week, all is looking good for the TAB meeting on the St Mary's School Race Day on Saturday.

With 126 acceptances, Racing Queensland has decided to split two races which takes the number of races to nine.

Garry Adcock is a long-time volunteer and racing official in Warwick and said he believed this weekend would be the first time in at least three decades that there have been nine races on an Allman Park card.

There are 11 starters in the $25,000 Warwick Credit Union Warwick Cup which was washed out in October and is being held as part of the St Mary's School races.

Grey Steyne, Muraqaba and Money Talk are all last start winners in the Cup.

Paul Nolan Jr has Money Talk in the Cup, a gelding with four wins from his last six starts.

Melted Moments has three thirds in his last six starts for Armidale trainer Paul Grills.

There is free admission to the calcutta on the Cup on Friday night at the Warwick Turf Club rooms.
