Super Rugby: Rebels remain on Red alert

THE Reds might be in outright last position on the Super Rugby table with coach Richard Graham under fire, but Rebels lock Luke Jones believes they're still a "quality" outfit.

The Rebels travel to Suncorp Stadium to take on their Australian conference opponents this Friday night.

"I think the Reds are a quality side with a lot of international players," he said. "They'll really try to attack us through the forwards with a lot of mauling."

Former Queensland coach John Connolly has returned to the Reds as a coaching consultant, former league and union star Brad Thorn has been appointed the Reds' elite development squad forwards coach for three years, and former Reds and Brumbies strength and conditioning coach Damian Marsh comes in as head of athletic performance.
