Rain slows Dorrigo road works

RAIN is not making repairs to the steep upper section of the Dorrigo Mountain Road any easier.

Unexpected heavy rain has put the schedule back, with road closures for night work now extending to Friday, December 17. Closures times are Sundays to Thursdays from 9pm to 5am.

An RTA spokesperson said the $2.4 million project, seven kilometres east of Dorrigo, was scheduled to be completed by early 2011 – weather permitting.
