Race club's track work is a winner

THERE were sighs of relief from the Coffs Harbour racing fraternity yesterday when the sound of pounding hooves returned to the track.

After weeks of rain, cancelling the meeting was considered but recent major drainage upgrades proved a resounding success.

Emily Kehoe and her counterparts did need spare goggles on the day but it was a thumbs-up all round for the state of the track.
