Public voices opinion with petition
A PETITION against the establishment of the Kingscliff Police Station will be tabled in NSW Parliament this week.
Tweed MP Geoff Provest was presented with the 1600-signator petition on Monday and will table it in parliament during this week's sitting.
"There are more than 500 signatures so it triggers a response from the minister," Mr Provest said.
"It's my job to take the concerns of the citizen to the government."
Mr Provest said he was also meeting with the Minister for Police and Emergency Services this week and a response to the petition could be expected in the next week or two.
