Pub scrap lands man in court

A COFFS HARBOUR man, 42, allegedly attacked a security guard at the Coffs Hotel early yesterday.

Police allege the assault happened about 12.30am when the man, believed to be drunk, was asked to leave.

He was taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, resisting arrest and failing to leave licensed premises.

The man was bailed to appear in Coffs Harbour local court on June 1.

• A MAN, 39, will face court for alleged drink-driving on the Pacific Highway. Police breath-tested the man at Woolgoolga at 11pm on Saturday.

A subsequent breath analysis returned a low-range reading of .065.

A man, 20, also wound up in trouble when he was breath-tested in Coffs Harbour's Orlando Street at 2.15am yesterday.

Police pulled him over after they saw his car swerving in Bray Street.

After a positive reading he was taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station, where his breath analysis reading was .050.
