Police chasing Gibbs as he crosses border into Victoria
UPDATE: VICTORIAN police are tracking a prison escapee serving time for a series of robberies at Coffs Harbour while three other northern NSW inmates remain on the run.
Christopher Gibbs is believed to have stolen at least two cars and made it across the Victorian border since he fled the Goulburn prison on Tuesday, April 2.
On the weekend police alerted the public that a man believed to be Gibbs had been spotted near Gisborne in Victoria's Goldfields region.
The 30-year-old, who held up the BCU branches at Urunga and Nambucca Heads and the ANZ bank in Coffs Harbour, was last seen wearing a red shirt and baseball cap and driving a stolen white Ford Explorer with the registration YHI608.
Meanwhile, three inmates who escaped Glen Innes prison the same week are still believed to be hiding out in Queensland.
Zac Cree from Banora Point, Ashley Cullen from Toormina and Reegan Freeburn from Grafton have not been seen since they were secured in their unit on the night of Thursday, April 4.
The trio had almost 13 hours to get away before they were discovered missing.
There were reports last week Cree had been spotted around the Gold Coast, where he once worked as a salesman, but police confirmed he had not been found.

Prison escapee Christopher Gibbs believed to be in Victoria
A PRISON escapee serving time for a series of Coffs Harbour bank robberies is believed to be hiding out in Victoria.
Christopher Gibbs, 30, has been on the run since he broke out of the Goulburn jail on April 2.
He had served 14 months of the seven-year sentence for six Mid North Coast robberies which included the armed hold-up of the BCU branches in Urunga and Nambucca Heads and the ANZ bank on Harbour Dr.
Police now believe he stole a car from the Goulburn area, travelled through Lithgow and Bathurst and dumped the vehicle at Griffith before stealing another.
He is believed to have driven across the Victorian border to Gisborne where he was spotted stealing a white 2008 model Ford Explorer with Victorian registration YHI608.
He was last seen wearing a red long-sleeved jacket and baseball cap.
Victorian Police have been notified.
Gibbs is originally from St Mary's in Sydney's west but has links to other parts of NSW, Queensland and Victoria.
He is described as caucasian and about 195cm tall with a thin build, sandy blond hair and acne scars on his face.
Anyone who sees Gibbs is warned not to approach him but to call 000 immediately.
