Police on trail of man after brazen robbery in Coffs Harbour

POLICE are investigating after a woman was robbed at a toilet block at a park in Coffs Harbour on Friday.

Just before 3pm, a 37-year-old woman entered a toilet block at a park on Saltwater Drive.

Investigators have been told the woman was washing her hands when a man approached her from behind and threatened her, demanding personal possessions.

The man fled the scene a short time later, taking cash, personal cards, and a mobile phone.

The woman was uninjured during the incident and contacted police.

Officers attached to Coffs-Clarence Local Area Command attended and commenced investigations.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 173cm tall, of slim build, and was seen wearing grey tracksuit pants, a black hooded jumper with a white symbol on the back, and white running shoes.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
