DO YOU KNOW HIM? The image released yesterday.

DETECTIVES are hoping the public can help identify a man who they believe can assist them with their investigations into a violent armed robbery at Yamba earlier this year.

Coffs Clarence police yesterday released the image, which was captured by a closed circuit television camera inside the Yamba Golf and Country Club.

Police say four men broke into the River Street venue assaulting a 41-year-old male staff member on January 4, about 1am.

The victim suffered fractures and a head injury during the incident and was taken to Maclean Hospital for treatment. His wallet and keys were stolen by the offenders, who are thought to have fled the scene on foot.

All four men were said to be wearing long pants, hooded tops and gloves.

Detectives say the man pictured in the photo may hold important information surrounding the case.

Anyone with information about the man in the image, or with information about the armed robbery, is urged to contact Grafton Police Station on 6642 0222.
