Police release images of men after shopping centre assault


DETECTIVES investigating an assault at a Browns Plains shopping centre on July 22 are appealing for public assistance, releasing images of three men who may be able to assist.

The assault occurred at a shopping centre located on Browns Plains Road around 10.50am. A security guard had gone to a public toilet within the centre when three men came out.

One of the three men then punched the male guard in the face before all three walked hurriedly away.

The guard followed the three men when one turned and threatened him with a syringe before swiftly walking off.

The first man is described as Caucasian, approximately 30-40 years, he had balding short brown hair, a moustache and was of average build. He was wearing a dark hooded jumper, light coloured t-shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.

The second man is described as Caucasian, approximately 50 years, of skinny build with short grey hair and a grey beard. He was wearing a black and brown striped jumper and black jeans.

The third man is described as Caucasian, approximately 20-30 years, cropped beard and was wearing a blue beanie, white jumper, blue jeans and white shoes.

The security guard, 54, suffered swelling to his face.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who has any information that can assist them to contact Crime Stoppers.
