Police hunting hit-and-run driver

POLICE are appealing for help to find a driver who left the scene of a smash at Woolgoolga on Saturday night.

The car, described only as a silver/white four-wheel drive twin cab ute, slammed into a Mazda at the intersection of Newmans Road and the Pacific Highway at 9.15pm.

The vehicle hit the driver’s side, causing the Mazda to spin and come to rest 10 metres from the intersection.

The vehicle was last seen heading west in Newmans Road.

A girl, 6, sustained a cut above her eye and was taken to hospital.
