Police find schoolgirl Tiahleigh's shoe on riverbank

THE discovery of a shoe Logan 12-year-old Tiahleigh Palmer was wearing when she went missing has sparked more searching along the river where her body was found.

The shoe is the first of Tiah's belongings police have uncovered in a month of searching, after her missing backpack and school uniform formed a key part of early public appeals for information.

The discovery comes as police investigate whether the girl, who they believe was murdered, was groomed online.

There are no suspects or persons of interest but police are following several "positive lines of inquiry".

The shoe, identical to the one Tiah was wearing when she was last seen outside Marsden State School on October 30, was found on the banks of the Pimpama River last Sunday, police said.
