Police appeal to community after bizarre armed robbery

CCTV footage has shown a man's attempt to disguise himself before threatening a service station attendant at knife point.

Police are searching for a man who robbed a service station while wearing a recyclable shopping bag at Caboolture last night.

The man produced a knife and made demands towards the female attendant at the Lower King St store about 8.30pm.

The staff member complied with his demands and the man left the business with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.

No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.

During the robbery, the man attempted to hide his identity by wearing a blue shopping bag on his head before removing it to carry the stolen cigarettes.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 165-170cm tall with short dark hair and blue eyes.

Anyone who may recognise the man depicted in the CCTV footage is urged to contact police.
