Plenty of water, it's free

RESIDENTS in flood-affected areas are being offered cost-free water to help with the clean-up of properties.

Coffs Harbour City Council is offering the option of having any excess water use taken off residents' next water bill.

It will be calculated by averaging out water accounts for the past two periods and any difference - due to the water used for clean-ups - will be taken off the following bill.

“We appreciate that many homes suffered flooding during this emergency and people will need to use a lot of water to clean them out,” said Jason Gordon, Council's Director of City Services.

Call council on 6648 4000 for the cost-free water service.
