Player of the year Kristy follows the dream in the USA

FORMER Coffs Harbour Suns basketballer Kristy Wallace will have a special item to pack in her bags when she takes up a player scholarship in the USA next month.

This week Kristy was named Basketball Australia's Junior Female Player of 2013 at a ceremony in Melbourne.

Kristy now moves to take up her new role as point guard with Baylor University in the US.

Coffs Harbour Basketball Association believes there are more players out there like Kristy looking for the right opportunity.

They have a program designed to get them started.

Sign-ons involving school students will take place on July 25-26.
