Pining for a real Christmas

WHEN it comes to experiencing a traditional Christmas, one man has you covered.

Tree farmer Wayne Duver is the proud owner of North Coast Christmas Trees – the largest provider of festive monterey pines on the Mid North Coast.

Around 6000 trees are at various growth stages at the Coramba farm and Wayne said demand this year had been the strongest to date.

“It’s been a record year for us. I think people are tending to want to go back to the real Christmas trees,” he said.

“We’ve seen families with young kids come every year and the kids are getting older.”

He said the first week in December tended to be the busiest period for families collecting trees.

The farm is open until Christmas Eve.
