QUEENSLAND and northern New South Wales are now cleaning up after Cyclone Debbie wrought a path of destruction across towns and cities in both states.
It began early in the week with warnings that Debbie would hit land as a category 4 cyclone on Tuesday, March 28.
By Wednesday, areas such as the Whitsunday Islands, Airlie Beach, Bowen, Cairns and Townsville were waking up to the damage and the storm itself had moved on.
On Thursday and Friday, it hit areas further south in the form of torrential rain and flooding, making itself known from Gladstone to Lismore.
These photos capture some of the moments from the days of devastation.
